Studies in the field of parachuting starts with
Turkish Aviation Association (TAA) Parachute
School. TAA Parachute School, which started
operating within the Directorate General of
Türkkuşu that was founded on 3rd May 1935 upon
the directives of the great leader Ataturk, has
trained 38.084 parachute initial trainees by the
year 2003.
Advanced parachute courses have been planned
beginning from 1963 and 680 parachutists have
received FAI-D certificate so far.
